Things You'd Like to Say Out Loud at Work

Funny... but oh soooo true. Sometimes. :)

Things You'd Like to Say Out Loud at Work:

1. I can see your point, but I still think you’re full of shit.
2. I don’t know what your problem is, but I’ll bet it’s hard to pronounce.
3. How about never? Is never good for you?
4. I see you’ve set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
5. I’m really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way.
6. I’ll try being nicer if you’ll try being smarter.
7. I’m out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.
8. I don’t work here. I’m a consultant.
9. It sounds like English, but I can’t understand a damn word you’re saying.
10. Ahhhh .. I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again.
11. I like you. You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid.
12. You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.
13. I have plenty of talent and vision; I just don’t give a damn.
14. I’m already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
15. I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you.
16. Thank you. We’re all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.
17. The fact that no one understands you doesn’t mean you’re an artist.
18. Any connections between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.
19. What am I? Flypaper for freaks?!
20. I’m not being rude. You’re just insignificant.
21. It’s a thankless job, but I’ve got a lot of Karma to burn off
22. Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
23. And your crybaby whiny-assed opinion would be?
24. Do I look like a people person?
25. This isn’t an office. It’s Hell with fluorescent lighting.
26. I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.
27. Sarcasm is just one service we offer.
28. If I throw a stick, will you leave?
29. Errors have been made. Others will be blamed.
30. Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed.
31. I’m trying to imagine you with a personality.
32. A cubicle is just a padded cell without a door.
33. Can I trade this job for what’s behind door #1?
34. Too many freaks, not enough circuses.
35. Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it?
36. Chaos, panic and disorder…my work here is done.
37. How do I set a laser printer to stun?
38. I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted a salary.
39. Who lit the fuse on your tampon?
40. Oh, I get it…like humor…but different.

A open vulnerable heart...

I was at sunday night live at church on the weekend. Usually I don't go on sunday nights cos I try to vegetate and rest at home as I prepare for the week ahead. However I thought I check out the creative presentations the team put together. The theme for the weekend was Intimacy -

I can't remember how the story developed from intimacy (hehehe :P) to be about having a open, aware, soft heart that to love is to allow the defences that surround your heart down.... hmmmmm this particular quote from C S Lewis quite literally took my breath away.

"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. but in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable."

Oh and I was completely surprised that guru theologian Stanley Grenz was quoted at church last nite! WOW miracle or what??! haha

Well people like I always say, keep your hearts soft and your skin thick. :)

We decided to look up some wii accidents that involved the TV set being assaulted.... OMG I've seen some of my friends play the boxing game on wii. It is VERYYYYy intense!!! Check out the flyyyying wii...

KINGDOM

Work decided that we were going to record an album and release it in 4 weeks! haahaa I got asked to do the cover art and album design. Almost not having a brief, musical style and direction, I haven had much to work with! I didn't even have the initial album title to work on!?!? WHAT THE?????!!!

Well after the initial meeting I manage to get my head around the vision behind the recording project and at the very least I manage to force the album title out of the team!! Here it is 'KINGDOM'

I told the boss if it's going to be cheesy, get someone else to do it!! I don't want my name on it!!!! :P I forsee abit of changes coming up, people say that its abit too in your face?!?

ME?? in your face??!!?! Surely not! *grinz*

Hmm the picture file is displaying HORRENDOUSlY! I removed it. BLAH!

Shout out to ...

www.davidwakerley.com

Dave and his wife Beckie are the kids pastor at my church. His very smart with all things about the internet, media, kids ministry and know all things about all things!!! :) I love to walk past his office cos it always has the latest toys, he calls it 'work'.

He actually have my blog on his RSS feed?!!!?! I'm well and truly flattered.

Thanks for reminding me about my blog.

A

I think I should really start blogging again...

... so here I am having a hibernating weekend. This winter seem to be much colder than the past or at least I feel that it is. Perhaps its cos I had been awfully ill after conference which made me feel the full brute of winter! BOOOOOOO.

I reckon, I should start blogging again if for no other reason, my ability to write seem to have gotten rusty!!! GONE TO THE DOGGIEs!!!!!! Since working as a full time designer for the past 6 months, I probably have not written much stuff cept for the odd assignment or work email. That part of my mental faculty needs to be reactivated!!! Now that I'm in a communications role, (I get to design sometimes if I feel like it! hehee) I better be able to communicate the 'party in my head' both in words and in visuals! You never know when I might be publishing a book or writing a column!! :)

So heres to chilly winter mornings, Saturday brunches and more creative adventures for the rest of 2008.

Andrew T is most definately back. Wooohoooooo!
